Inner Stillness: Journaling & Yin Yoga Journey

This class invites you to slow down, release tension, and nourish both body and mind. Whether you are arriving after a long day at work or hours in the sun, this is your time to reset and restore. You will be guided through a blend of gentle yin yoga, reflective journaling, and deeply restful Yoga Nidra, creating a complete practice that supports healing and renewal.

We begin with grounding yin postures designed to target deep connective tissues and encourage stillness. These longer-held poses help the body soften and the breath deepen, naturally guiding your awareness inward. As tension unwinds and energy begins to flow more freely, the stage is set for deeper clarity and introspection. This slow, mindful movement creates a bridge between body and mind, preparing you for the practices that follow.

From this grounded place, you will be invited into a journaling session. With thoughtful prompts and quiet space for reflection, you will explore your thoughts, feelings, and inner voice. Writing in this state of openness allows emotions, insights, and intentions to surface more freely. The practice is not about perfect words or polished sentences, but about self-discovery and expression, creating a gentle way to connect with your deeper self.

We close with a short Yoga Nidra, a guided, sleep-based meditation often practiced lying down, though it can be modified for seated comfort. Scientists have found that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel as restorative as several hours of restful sleep. As you settle into this deep relaxation, your body and mind receive a profound recharge, leaving you refreshed, renewed, and with a sense of peace and balance. Please bring a journal, a pen, and a yoga mat. We have journals for sale at the studio. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary.
