Blindfold Yoga Experience

Experience yoga like never before by removing your sense of sight. Blindfold yoga shifts your focus from how a pose looks, to how a pose feels. By withdrawing the visual sense, sight turns inward and the body becomes the guide. Blindfolded, we meet movement as feeling and not as form or shape.

Why Try Blindfold Yoga?

  • Heightened Sensation: Removing sight forces your nervous system to soften and your other senses to sharpen.

  • Inner Gazing (Dhyana): Encourages practicing for yourself rather than for "the look" or performance.

  • Improved Proprioception: Challenges and refines your body's ability to sense its position in space.

  • Reduced Distraction: Fades external noise and judgment, allowing for a truly meditative flow.

What to Expect?

Knowing foundational poses like ‘Warrior ‘ can be helpful but is not a requirement as detailed instructions will be given to you. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, this journey is about intuition, not expertise. All levels are welcome. 

We’ll begin with a fluid, seated warmup before transitioning into a series of standing postures. From there, we will use intentional breath work to settle into the yin portion of our practice. As you hold each yin pose, the soothing vibrations of crystal singing bowls will deepen your relaxation and complement the experience.

What to bring?

Please come dressed in comfortable yoga attire and bring an open mind, a mat, and some water. Feel free to bring your own sleep mask, or you can use one of our provided blindfolds. For your comfort, bolsters and blankets are also available to borrow at no extra cost.
